All students attending Bristol Prep must meet the same academic requirements as directed by the Bristol Board of Education. 25 credits are needed to successfully complete the course of studies.
BPA operates on a hexmester schedule, meaning students will participate in six, 6-week units for a particular content area over the course of the school year. At the end of each hexmester, students will be required to demonstrate competency of standards taught within the six-week unit. These assessments may be in the form of a quiz, presentation, group work, etc. Students who receive a grade of 65 or above for the hex will be awarded 0.2 credits, for a total possible 1.2 credits per year for a core content area. This format allows students to regain credits and experience expanded learning.
